PHRA NANG BEACH - Krabi, THAILAND
I’ve traveled all over the world but the place I found most stunning is a spot in Thailand called Phra Nang Beach. It’s in a town called Railay and features high rocky outcrops and breathtaking islands scattered around the coast. The sand is white and the water is crystal clear. Early in the morning and at night it’s almost empty, but it can get busy during tourist season.
To get there, you’ll need to take a longtail boat from nearby Krabi. Once there, you can take your pick of adventures from fantastic rock climbing, exploring the surrounding jungle with monkeys, local cave tours and another large beautiful beach that you can watch the spectacular sunsets from. There’s rock climbing for all levels of experience, and with all the natural scenery, you’ll feel compelled to get up close to it.
Alternatively, after a rigorous day of lounging on the beach, wind down at one of the many beachfront restaurants. Just one warning: I first planned to stay a couple of weeks there but ended up staying a few months. It’s addictively wonderful. Just remember, everything is cheap here, so pack light!

Travel is cool and all, but what if you want to have an adventure without worrying about traveler’s cheques or insulting people with your poor grasp of their language and customs?
