IGNAZIO’S PIZZA - Brooklyn, USA
Need a great time in Brooklyn? Let me lead you. Start by working up an appetite with a late morning walk from Manhattan across the Brooklyn Bridge. It’s a fairly long walk that will give you some stunning views of the city. Watch out for joggers. Don’t let them make you feel guilty for being leisurely. Once you’re in Brooklyn, head to Ignazio’s pizza bar for lunch. They serve literally the biggest and tastiest pizzas I’ve had in my entire life. It’s nothing particularly fancy or exotic (we ordered the meat-lovers and margherita), but it’s damn good. And huge. It’s worth re-emphasising that. You won’t need dinner, trust me.
Now that dinner’s out of the question, why not fill that vacant spot in your evening by heading out for a drink? There are small bars hidden all over Brooklyn. Wander around until you find one that tickles your fancy. We wound up at a random Mexican bar sharing tequila, great food, music and (of course) more tequila. Needless to say, I can’t remember its name. So, I recommend finding your own secret spot and trying the local brews.
